We all have our "baby" , pride and joy of our collection. It would be nice to see a pic of everyones all time favorite. Maybe even a few lines as to how it all came about that you aquired your baby.

While I enjoy all of my Buck 110's from the custom shoppe, the one in the middle is my favorite knife!

One of my all time favorite survival films is "The Edge" with Anthony Hopkins. Early in the film, he is given a Bryan Lyttle custom folder with Mastadon Ivory scales and the knife ends up being pivotal to his survival. I went absolutely nuts for the knife in the film, but being WAY beyong my budget, I began searching the internet for something similar but affordable. Through pictures posted on this forum, I saw custom shoppe 110's with Elk and Stag scales, and ordered one in Elk and have aquired Stag and Buff' horn since, but the Elk one in the middle of this picture is truly my "baby"...I even call it that!

Like you, TLC, I love my Buck 110's and out of all of them I have to go with these four as my 'babies'... (left > right) my 1st Custom Shoppe, 2nd Custom Shoppe, 1st Damascus, 1st Ghostown. My 'baby' in the fixed blade category is the 'ring' knife I saw made from an idea I had on paper right on through to Ariel Salaverria's creation of the sheath & presentation case.

Once I pay it off and get the box made, my Herman Schneider Thumb-Dimple Fighter should take over that title.

Nothing fancy here, just a simple D'Holder. I love the maseur birch scales. There is a kind of palm swell (correct term?) that really fits the hand. I like smaller fixed blades and this one is 6 7/8 overall with 2 3/8 blade.

Wow, tough call.

Top to bottom: (baby fixed blade & 2 baby folders, sorry couldn't choose just one)

Geno Denning Black Widow - not sure why I keep this knife because I don't like double guard fixed blades, it's just got a hold on me. The design is awesome and so is the maker.

"Hoss" (Darrin Thomas) slipjoint - This gets carried but it's my dress knife. Family gatherings, dinner out etc. Devin Thomas Damascus, Mokume bolsters and jade green bone.

Rick Nowland Saddlehorn - This also gets carried, and quite a but. Awesome bone color and 1st rate construction. It's probably my "baby" user.
