Gorgeous flicks..living thee life.
There was a 2 year epoch of this city boys life spent on a horse farm and it was perhaps the most memorable time in my relatively short life to date.

Keeping it simple today..

Con bon, There's quite a few of the Tokarov's out there. Pretty easy to find. This particular one is Polish. They are extremely durable and if they do get banged up a bit being used and carried a guy's not out a lot becuase of the low cost (about $229 for the last one I saw). This one is crazy accurate, they are lightweight, compact and pack easy, not dragging your pants down all day. One of its greatest assests as a ranch gun is its ammo. Use to be you could get it REALLY cheap, like $87 for 1200 rounds. Not so any more but ammo is still available and not as expensive as say 10mm (one of my favorite other ranch guns). What I really like about the ammo (7.62x25mm) is it really sizzles. It is extremely flat shooting. What are the jobs of a ranch gun? Putting down a sick or injured cow or horse, watch out for that rattler, but mostly its predator cotrol. You see that coyote across the canyon stalking that calf and you want something very flat shooting. Tokarov's do that well. They were never designed to carry one in the cahmber so I don't. Pretty good gun.

Nice Gary! That one is just a Coyote though the California Coyote is the same knife in damascus. I'm really liking that adapter.

Got that book Charlie Mike!

Spyderco clipped in pocket , or SAK and Flaslight Beltless , or Leatherman Surge on belt .
Everyday at work it's one of these or a combination of the Spyderco plus one of the others .

Just a typical day, you know.

Sad thing is, I went to a party once where a guy had basically done this. He thought he was the coolest dude around when he pulled out about 8 cheap gas station knives to show everyone.

Horsewright, thanks a lot for the info! I guess they are more common than I thought, I forgot they were in production for 20 some years, including after world war two in the soviet block. They do pack quite a punch, I didn't realize they were good flat shooters too. I might look into them, I do love a military pistol as a history buff, and as cheap as they are it will be a good start to pistols. Also I really like your sheaths and knives, you make knives yes? They look great!

Thanks again,
Connor

ps - I've got an old Mill Bastard I might send over to you later, and have a dagger job done on it. You're doing some nice work with those old files.

Ha ha yea man. All my pants are like that some worse.. Have to retire some pants because the pockets get so bad that the thumb studs can get caught on all that mess when extracting and it bugs me. Need a pocket protected of sorts.
