What does your collection look like, any pics to share? Alot of limited editions? Inspire me! :)
 
I'm no collector, but nobody else seems interested, so maybe this will prompt some *real* collectors... ;)

Sorry for the poor quality, but my digi-camera won't focus for crap, so this is a scan (from my scanner & a T-shirt!). :)

I had an email about the silver escutcheons - they're not OEM; the distributor I got those from does initials, company names [short ones!], club names, etc...and adds the escutcheons to his knives...I didn't really want anything on them (it costs more)... :rolleyes: :D

I beleive that is the SMKW special edition they had out about a year ago.. it has a 110 and 112 blade.
 
Clydetz, those are beautiful. A great collection you've assembled. I second the request for some closeups of the Ghostowns.

I like the subtle understated look...Function *is* beauty... :D

What is that first one's scales??? The verticle ripple is intriguing... ;)
 
Any body know how to get ahold of ZZ Jake ? He has an awesome collection, but I haven't seen him around for a while.

Thanks, from top down they are.

1. Asian Water Buffalo with textured jigging.
2. Elk (My baby!!).
3. Asian Water Buffalo (smooth scales with BG-42 blade)
4. Sambar Stag.

The one you asked about has very nice textured ridges on the scales, taht provide a great grip on the knife. They took awhile to get used to, since I was so accustomed to 110's with smooth grips but after awhile I kinda like it.

The Elk was my first 110 and is still the favorite of my whole collection. I carry it more than any other 110 I own.
 
fuzzyedge... Jake was the guy who got me started on Buck 110's in the first place! :thumbup: :D I know for awile Jake was having a hard time of things. I haven't heard from him in awhile.

chickentrax... Iron City is correct... it's the 110/112 transition folding hunter but I got mine from Knifeworks.com. The 110 blade has First Production Year Post Falls, ID printed on it while the 112 blade has Last Production Year El Cajon, CA imprinted on it.
Ghostown's work is quite a bit different than David or Brian Yellowhorse's. A few knives I have are similiar to the Yellowhorses' but are customized by Richard Chischilly.

well now that i learned how to post here are mine. i have about 10 more not in this shot and a few more i hope to pick up in penn. some day when i am told to come get them.
the top two upper left are hand made and the one with wood i made in '83 after reading of Al Buck makeing bucks from files, this is hard hard steel and took me a long time to do, holdes and edge a long long time and is hard to sharpen but it is one hell of a chopper at camp

my 110 collectable's are to the left and right of center of note are the Ti 560's with matching blades, 3 periced balde custom stamped, the drop point stag in nickel, the 25 year anvsersary in nickel and stag, 3 black steel (as my dad calls damascuss) one with mastadon ivory and the 2 112's with custom stamped balck steel baldes and on the other side are 10 100 year knives on top,
with a gold letter workman then gold blades with the duke on them and my 426's.
center are mostly the ones i have jest "tossed in a drawer or old tool box" and got another one tho some are bought in the last 10 years at yardsales.
i have owned a buck folding hunter sence 1967 or 68. it is a better knife now then then! and it was great then!

Just had to bump this so it wouldn't get lost. Clydetz, the Ghostowns are great knives but I have to mention the 532s. That's a wow for me with a 535 right below'm. That is a great collection.

Dave, the 110s look great. Didn't you have a black 560? I don't see it there.

Very impressive indeed Clydetz. I'm very envious & thanks for sharing. (great pics too) Did you find the Ghostowns on Ebay? His work looks even more impressive than Yellowhorse.
 
Glad you guys like the collection. I've added a black 560 to the collection... thanks to 334dave! :thumbup: Dave knows how much I like 'Ghostown's' craftsmanship and is always alerting me to a 'Ghostown' sighting on Ebay. And yes... Ebay is where alot of the Bucks were found.
