Greetings,

This piece is also one of my recent experiments, this time forged of scrap metal. But not just any old scrap metal found on the shop floor. The material for this blade was found behind the barn :pirate:
Ok, so as I was pillaging behind the old barn I noticed a bundle of really old barbed wire. I thought, hey how cool it would be to forge something out of it.
And suddenly my not so sane imagination kicked in, like an old Mz Etz. I created a post apocalyptic word, where even steel is scarce and highly valued, and the survivors try to salvage anything they can find among the forsaken ruins of the old world.

So after lots of hours spent in the "shop" I came up with this:

Its total length is 25 cm, the blade is 13,5 cm, it is 3,5 cm wide and 5 mm thick. The blade is basically a san mai, with 5160 core and forged barbed wire coat 8)
The handle is antler and leather.

Price is 190 USD, postal fee included ;)

Sold!

Very cool. I wish I could feel the texture on the blade, I bet the pictures are not doing your work justice. Have you been reading "One Second After"?

Very unique looking knife! I would love to see a work in progress on how this was made, including the stacked leather handle.

You have a message Morton 12 ;)
Thanks guys for the nice compliments! :) You know how it is with these pics. I try to make them as good as I can, but I can't catch it from every angle in the best lighting conditions and of course my camera is just a regular little soap holder :D
Some aspects and parts of a knife will always be hidden in a photo, it only gets visible if you hold it in hand, if you know what I mean ;)

Wow...that's bitchin'!!! I wish I'd have seen it first. And I've gotta say...today is my first day as a member on this forum and I've already missed a few grand worth of knives I'd love to have (and I'm only 3 pages into The Knife Exchange). This place is full of true artist. I can't wait to see what else you, and others, have coming down the pike.
