First off, thanks to all of you. You are a very welcoming crowd. My first Busse experience was at Blade this year, and I've been impressed. I met some of you there, and look forward to meeting more in the future.

Now, to show my thanks, I have a small giveaway.

An AZWelke Kydex Sheath for a Comp Finish SOB.

It;s black Kydex, taco style. One thing, it is extremely tight. Someone more knowledgable in adjusting Kydex than myself will be able to easily adjust. Also it may fit a thinner bladed SOB, though I have not tried and cannot confirm.

To enter, show a photo of your SOB with your favorite color of handle and explain why that is your favorite. If you do not yet have your SOB, feel free to post your favorite on another blade.

I will choose by random generator the winning post on Sunday, August 17th.

Red has always been my favorite color growing up, so naturally my Competition Finish SOB w/ Red & Black G-10 is my favorite. This knife has recently become a user for me, makes great fine wood curls for using a ferro rod to start a fire. Every time I pick it up I like it more, very handy size yet feels capable enough as a light chopper. The handle just melts into your hand on these knives, anybody who has not handled these yet should really consider checking them out……. :)

I am not in possession of my CF SOB yet but I did score one in the last ganza. I went with the SOS orange g10. I like to be able to find my knives in the woods or around camp.



My TGLBm gets the most love in a snug fitting buy brown sheath. I just picked up an INFImandu that I need to speak with mr brown about, and my steak knife serves camp kitchen duty also in buy brown pants in orange.

I have the exact same model...scored it at this year's Blade show. I've always loved the Red/Black G10, but seeing it with the Comp Finish really made it pop. You're right about the handle too....as soon as I picked it up, it fit my hand like a glove.

The Competition Finish really does set off the Red & Black G-10, I actually caught a card for one of these at BladeShow but somehow misplaced it when I went to checkout. Luckily the lovely Lexi took care of me and I was able to get this shipped to me after getting home and finding the card. I'm one lucky hog, that's for sure…… :)

In regards to the handle, I had no idea just how nice it feels until I picked up a Custom Shop version off the table during the initial trough raid. I gotta say that Jerry is a master of contouring handles for comfort and security, so many great handle designs coming out of Wauseon over the years. I can say that I feel comfortable chopping with this knife WITHOUT a lanyard AND hanging a couple few fingers off the handle to choke back. :)

Thanks for the give away.

Here is mine. Out of the busse colors the Blue and Black (Brusier) is the most vivid with out looking harsh. The others colors they have are darker other than yellow. The blue blends in better with jeans and t-shirts than yellow.

Well, I'm stealing this pic from aaaa_cccc because I don't have access to my SOB & camera right now---

But I have one with tequila just like the top one-love it.
I tried for a tigerhide micarta one in the ganza but was too late

Those are my two favorites- tequila and tigerhide (But I do really like the red/black just because I think it matches the brick pattern)---btw the comp finish and brick pattern is a perfect fit.

Mine is tigerhide I picked up at blade this year. absolutely love this blade. I thinned the edge out a bit and it's stupid mean slicer now. thanks for the chance!


 
My apologies. I couldn't get in Sunday night due to site maintenance and am out of town tonight for work. I will have the winner tomorrow!
