Post-change Problems

I have been having some troubles after the switch.

If I type in a quick reply, it does not load the post for me, the little loading thing spins, and I cannot see the post unless I refresh the page or come back to the thread again.

I get the same loading icon when I try to edit tags, edit posts, preview (sometimes), or various other things. I was able to edit this post by double clicking edit, but when it comes to clicking things that cause dynamic? changes within a page, it does not work at all.

I am using the latest Firefox version.

I have this problem also, when I try to edit tags... I get the swirly thing...
I also get it when I click "preview" in the "Customize Profile" mode.

I'm running Safari on an old Mac.
I suspect a javascript issue.

I get that also, when I click on a thumbnail, and the black screen with the black window with the spinning "Loading" thingy opens...It loads after a few seconds of spinning...

I'm using SeaMonkey 1.1.7 [Mozilla derivative]...

("In space, nobody can hear you spin"...MST3K) :D

The black box is called a lightbox and it's a new "feature" with the forums upgrade. I'm not completely thrilled with it either, but I'm still test driving it.

The quickposting is a problem your browser is having with AJAX, which allows page rewrites without requiring entire page reloading. Make sure you have javascript and such enabled.
 
Is it working for you in IE? What firefox extensions do you have installed? When was the last time you rebooted your pc?
 
I don't use IE, I have active X disabled, so it doesn't work for much at all, but I will try it just for comparison. I have adblock plus extension for firefox, but it did not interfere before the changes were made, so I don't see how it would now.
 
What are you running as a virus scanner/internet security suite?

Some of the new ones block some scripting on pages automatically. Does the site work properly if you disable your virus scanner/internet security suite?

I run CA security suite. Did not change any settings. I don't shut it off. So unless the way the site operates has changed drastically, I can't see why I am having this trouble. I will check it from my work computer tomorrow to see if that one works ok.

And I reboot the computer every day.
 
attachments still work for me. Just changes that don't involve loading a new page do not work- like adding or deselecting the +quote thing from the reply window, adding tags, etc
