Post CRK Knife Buying Pace

I've only been a CRK owner for a short time. Before buying a CRK I was constantly buying/selling/trading knives trying to find THE knife. Knives always fell short. They weren't big enough, too big, too fat, too heavy, too grippy, to many parts, cheap feeling, etc. I decided that a CRK Sebenza 21 (small) was worth trying and I am glad that I did. It is the perfect pocket knife for EDC for me. I have since bought two knives since owning a Sebenza. A Spyderco Dragonfly 2 G-10 and a Victorinox Alox Cadet. I bought the Spyderco to carry along with the CRK because people know I carry a knife at work and often ask to use it. I'd like to have an alternative just in case fingers get sticky somewhere. I bought the Cadet because I've never owned a SAK and felt like I needed to. But to answer your question; yes, the CRK has and is going to slow down the knife churning.

That's very considerate of you buying a community knife for others to use. ;) My responses to their requests might not go over so well in that workplace haha. :p
 
Thanks for all the replies. Seems like some bought more CRKs, some slowed down and some switched to other makers. I guess if you spend time on this forum you never find "the one", your pace of looking just changes. My pace is slow now....I guess I am saving up for the Damascus Insingo 25 (blade thickness of the 25...Insingo blade shape....D.Thomas Raindrop Damascus) with the pivot bushing.
 
My pace personally has slowed because I find that now I want something that comes with the quality I have grown accustomed to. Now I'm looking at CRK, Hinderers, Les George, mid-techs, and of course customs. Nice knives ending up cost more green backs which requires me to save for a longer time. Currently, I have a Hinderer X-18 3" Slicer on the way due to the simple fact that was tired of people saying how these are in the same rank of quality and fit and finish. It's not i dont trust these fellow members, but i want to find out for myself. hahahaaa
 
Well its been 2 months since I bought my first Sebenza, a carbon fiber Large basketweave Damascus. Since then I've bought a ZT 801 black to carry in its place. I have become paranoid about losing the Sebenza out of my pocket and becoming Sebenza-less. Once I save enough money, I plan to get a Micarta large Sebenza, and a Mnandi. I don't really plan on collecting dozens of Sebs. I have over 12 knives now and think its about time to stop buying lol.

Personally, I would carry and use that beauty. My opinion is it is better to have carried and lost than to have never carried. Like anyone on this forum, I would be crushed if I lost a Sebenza but the joy of carrying and using it justifies the risk to me. However, totally get its a personal decision.
