Here's a bowie Dave (agghumi) built. I'll let him fill in on the details.

It started out as an 18" oregon chainsaw bar stamped 1971. I did the guard and butt cap from a copper bus bar. The handle is a piece of walnut Logrifle gave me the day he gave me a Bowie lesson! It seems to preform well the balance point is the center of the gaurd. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

I really wanted it to look like it was from the era. One of the main influences that got me interested in making knives was one of your Damascus Bowies.
