For some reason, my dogs have always been attracted to Mora knives. A few years ago, not long after I had taken delivery, one of my Aussies got hold of my first Mora 612 and gnawed the handle to the point where it was uncomfortable to hold. I salvaged it by covering the damage with a length of bicycle inner tube. Even though I have bought other Moras since, that 612 has always been my favorite.
This year, just before the holidays, Charlie the poodle got into the box of assorted Moras I had picked up to give as Christmas gifts. He went unerringly to one of the 612s, and then managed to gnaw on an orange-trimmed Companion. As a result of no-shows at the various family holiday functions, I found myself with two knives left over. My son had chosen the dog-eaten 612 so he could have one "just like Dad's", which left me with an unmolested 612 still in the packaging it came in. This knife is the same size as a Mora No.2, with a red painted handle, carbon blade and a single guard.
The other is the Companion, slightly gnawed on the belt clip and tip of the sheath. There are also tooth marks on the pommel and rubber handle. This knife has a stainless blade. This knife has never been used except as a doggie toy, still grips comfortably and doesn't look too bad.
The lucky winner will get his or her choice of these knives. The remaining knife is destined for a GAW on a gun forum which, like this one, is the best, friendliest forum on the internet. Please be a regular member of the traditional forum. Post to say you are in, and say which knife you would prefer. If you have never owned a Mora, just say so, and post again to give yourself another chance.
