Clyde,
To place this in the perspective of Goose's daughter, your collection of 110's is down right certifiable! :D
Mike

I've been told by a few, including a doctor, that I'm certifiable... but I'm happy! ;) The only bad thing about collecting Buck's is that I can't afford to retire! :D Oops! I forgot a pix of my user 110... Happy Collecting!

Not a custom, but it's been my main EDC since i moved here over a year and a half ago. It has been replaced by a gorgeous buck 102 with a Cocobola handle.

hi goose
i may be wrong but i think the xlti is the regular titanium handle with the standard blade and a crystal finish to the handle , i may be wrong but i think that is what it is , i guess its possible it has a titanium coating on the blade though
Hey BM#10...
Yeah, what Trax said. The auction description said it had a "titantium blade" but I and others knew better. It was just funny, at the time.
Goose.

Great Pics Guys!!!!!!!

I can see now that if it rains as predicted I'll spend the next day and a half polishing bolsters and taking pics. Maybe I will have something up by Sunday Eve.

But the question is,,, do I really dare get all those toys out in one place at one time...puzzlement, puzzlement, Maybe she won't get curious about what I am doing....right....

If it dont rain, mama sais she wants a new cabinet to sit the tv on.
Something about it only costing as much as 5 or 6 of the sambar 110s.

Pray for rain for me guys!!!

hayya hayya (shake wolf stick) ho...
ok it will rain for you now
i already got out my toys cleaned them and put them away in boxes
so i could see them when opened when i opened a toy box -

I have six 560 boxes and the XLTI designation doesn't hold up for any specific varation that I can figure out. It is on a thin all black, a thin gold crystal, and a couple of thick early gray ones.

I used to think the XLTI was just on the early ones... not....

One of the crystals is a 2003 and my earliest gray is 1988.

yes it is a 560 and it was not a regular production item avable in the cataloge.
there were 8 that i know of, i have one and Joe has 4, another friend has one and i don't remember were the other 2 are...
and while we are at it here is one i can not afford to buy an still remain married and there are only 4 of these and they were made i think by Leroy Remmer when he worked at buck tho i might be wrong... dang mind goes before any thing else... this is currently owned by H. Kinkhammer. i hope i got the name right...and i could have had it but heck i like being married...

As Trax would say...

"I'll have the roast duck with mango salsa".

And Goose...

"No thank you. I don't have much of an appetite.

Hey Dave,
What is that you have etched on the blade of the 110 Liner Lock?
Mike

it says "limited production 1997" and is what was on the production of the first 500, i think? tho i could be wrong and likely am... i don't remember details to much...
i do know that buck loss money at the wholesale level on each that they made as it was almost totally a "hand made knife" except for the blade....
it is also the first different 110 blade and now with the club drop point there are only 3 models of blade profile cut for the 110,
as i view the native and flint chip the same as the cut outs- a style, not a modification of the blade profile.
