  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

CanadaKnife Guy: What is that black insert in the Spyderco finger hole? Is it a kind of Emerson Wave opener?
Wiseman Company makes the wave feature.

Fits delicas, etc, as well as other models that fit other popular brands.

Really handy in an emergency situation where you need access right away and / or one hand is busy / occupied / etc.

CanadaKnife Guy: Thanx for the quick response to my inquiry. By the way, it is the Wise Man company, not Wiseman. I looked it up. $35.75 plus shipping for what, at best, adds a 1/2 second to your draw, assunimg it catches and their suggestion that you also buy their signet ring to best work it, seems more than a little over the top. What’s more, the reviews are “mixed”. I never really have had any trouble deploying any of my Spyderco folders from pocket or waistband. This gadget looked inserting. But it’s a non-stater for me. I’ll pass.
