I find the oddities very interesting. Oddities such as double stamps, mis-marked blades, things that just don't fit the normal patterns. Post your Odddities

Here is a 2 line stamp 102 with a double stamped Buck, you can only see the K over the USA.

Ok, a couple, I am short timed....300Bucks

I have no idea what the scales are made of, I don't think someone made a jigged Delrin. I am guessing lunch time project back in the 80s.

Here someone added a odd blade, cheap one I think, to a elk scaled 309. Scale was cracked so I just left it alone.

Lose your shield, no problem just glue in an old Parker brass shield

Heres one that made it out the door , unfinished. Maybe it was a Holiday. No sharpening, no buffing.

Last but not least, someone decided they liked the grooves on the first version Schrade 301 so they ground
some on their first version Camillus 301....actually not badly done.

Thanks, 300 and MB......I love all the oddities (I suppose that's ONE reason I like stamps instead of computerized engraving machines that mindlessly make their endlessly identical scrawlings).

But.....300, you'll have to explain what you said about the unfinished knife and the holiday. I don't get it, but it sounds interesting.

Don't know yet if this is an "oddity" or not but it's the first one I've seen.

277 Folding Alpha Hunter dated 2010 on blade and box with 12C27M steel and a hex lanyard hole.

Haven't seen pics of any other 2010 or 2011 Alpha Folders so don't now if this is the new thing or not?

BG, Every hear of anyone quitting early to go to the office Holiday party, or even getting "started" early....300

BG, 300 ment that who ever was working on this knife, quite early and passed this knife through because he maybe wanted to go to the holiday party, not stay at work and finish this knife.

Don't know if these would be considered oddities or not, but there sure aren't very many of them. These were SFOs made for J C Penney Co. around 1980. They were available around Christmas in consecutive years. That's all I remember about them other than I've had them in my display case all this time, along with about seven or eight true David Yellow Horse 112s. If any of you remember or have additional information on these, the Mule Deer and the Elk, I'd sure appreciate you sharing it with me. Thanks

Edited to add: Even though they were aquired one year apart, the tang marks are identical (two dot 110 two dot) as show in the photo.

I don't know if this qualifies as an "oddity" since it was no accident and there are a few others out there like it, but here is a factory clip point 103.

I think that qualifies as a little odd, because it isn't a normal production 103, really neat knife, tele.

Someday if you feel so inclined , remember your friends......of course I could find a Cami and just rob the blade out of an old 309 and put it in myself.......but it just wouldn't be right......

You have to wonder about this one, who was in better shape before the transplanting. The Buck or the Primble. I have to hope that only a broke bladed Buck was the donor....and no 'good' knife was harmed.......300

Well I hope this looks better than I think it will, I have here a 3 blade 309... It was sold as a 310 with the wooden box and original cardboard box/paper work. Probably, Buck getting rid of a 309 blade.

Well the only odd I have is this 1st version, 1st variation 112 with a nail nic. It's the only early model I've ever seen with a nic. Unforturnately, Joe has held it and doesnt figger it was a special request factory job.

No, it looks more garage than factory.

Still a VERY nice knife and an oddity.

Not sure how odd this is either, but I thought it odd wjhen I got it. It's an Alaskan Guide 110 with no stamp at all.
