Very cool. It looks like a Full Custom CQC-45, with custom contoured micarta scales... and... what is that... a swiss-army style toothpick in the butt?

This one started as a standard bolstered custom CQC-45. I acquired it second hand in a trade and it came to me with numerous sets of scales with or without bolsters and backspacers.
The previous owner had polished the liners and bolsters so I usually use a full scale. Not too keen on the polished bolster look.
I drilled the threads from some standoffs to be able to use them with the threaded liner and installed the Ti Fighter thumb disk.
Still have all the original parts in case I ever want to get it refurbished, but I like it like it is now.

Tweezers in the bottom not a toothpick.

Re: steely dorn's CQC45
My guess is a 2013, as they had some "ghost markings" that quickly disappeared around that time. I like it, a LOT.

I love a good takedown pic. I'll see your headless-8 with my Commander. I refinished all the hardware, lightened the lockbar tension, brushed the clip, touched up the edge, and punched my initials into the scale to brand it mine:

Had a bigger flat spot on my blade detent (lockbar ball really isn't a "detent" as it doesn't reach the blade hole) than I prefer to see, so I punched it out (ignore the fact I have the liner up-side-down in the pic - had already done the deed), turned the flat spot in, and re-pressed it into the detent tab. Took a little tuning to get the twin springs where I wanted, but now she is better than ever. I also cleaned up the rough edges on the blade detent tab.
