There was a time when I absolutely hated Emersons, thought they were the most hideous knives ever. Now can't stop buyin them every single one is so gorgeous I don't understand how I ever thought they were ugly <3 <3 <3

It's amazing how much more blade to handle ratio you get with the Genetleman Jim..

that is why I like the Gentleman Jims.

Sounds like me. I hunted for a SOCFK-A for 8years. Even had one on backorder with Extreme Outfitters before they apologized to me after pulling it from their website. The PDW Specwar is a pretty darn good alternative, but I wish you best of luck finding that elusive SOCFK-A.

Thanks for looking out, fortunately I was able to find a SOCFK-A in superb condition from another BF member last year. The next one on my search list is a CQC-22.... which I have only seen for sale twice. Grrr.....

^ pick the one that is the most natural for you, the one that is a true extension of yourself in every way so that if you ever have to use it every movement is natural.

For me it is a CQC-7 B with wave, which is why I have a few of them. It is just an extension of myself.

If you have to think for a split second that could be the difference...

No wave 7 works for me too, but it's not too 'life and death' up here

Hey thanks for the reply. My late night post was just way to wordy. So I removed it.

I love the 7's also and have a few. But I also have a lot of other Emersons and I wonder which would be the one for a life and death situation. The problem is Emerson gives so many choices.
