Not sure abought those pics but i just used .223 for the rope end and a 38 special for the cap end. The only spent shells i have here and they fit together perfectly. Just have to get some rope and try it out got some extra cotton clothsline at home il try that. Finally something i saw here that cost me nothing to make !

Looks like .223 and either 9mm or 40S&W to me.

Legion 12 is right. A 357 mag, 38 or 9mm brass will fit nicely over a 5.56 (223) brass.
