Post the tools you have and love. Hopefully we will learn from each other and find some we NEED to have :)

Sorry, not a reply. But I just wanted to say some of my fondest memories were my Dad taking us to Sears to look at tools and then for ice cream after. To this day I still love to wander the tool aisles of stores looking at tools and trying to add to my tools. It's now passed on to my son and daughter as they both like to check out tools and have tool chests at their homes. What a great gift from my Dad, that and how to use tools! It's as addicting as knife and gun collecting is. Haha

Before Tim Allen started acting in "Home Improvement", he was a standup comedian. One of his routines was about hardware stores. Famous line from one his routines, "I was walking through the Sears Hardware section, and my nipples were HARD."

Recently I bought a screwdriver lot on Ebay, mostly bit drivers and 4 in 1 drivers.
Among them were this early NOS original 4 in 1 driver from the 70's which I quite like.

There was also this MAGNA brand bit driver ( made by Vermont American I believe) that just fits my hand perfectly.
I took that crappy bit retention ring out so it'll work with my Chapman bits, and I added a section of stippling to the aluminum shaft for finger turning.

I really love this handle, so if I can find another I'll snatch it up and put it on a Chapman bit shaft.

This MALCO driver handle opens up a world of options. I bought a set of extended magnetic hex drivers plus if you put a standard bit holder on it, you can use the regular 1/4” bits.

I have multiple sets of Excelite drivers which are great, but no magnetic hex drivers and no 1/4” bit holders. So this set compliments the Excelite

I love that little coin purse!! My grandpa, father, and I always carried one of those. I am now using a leather coin purse, but I still really appreciate a good rubber one!

For the record this is my home grab for quick repair

For work I carry a condor pocket organizer with small channel locks (I cut them off a half inch) wide opening adjustable . Small hex bit ratchet, malco 4 inch 1/4-5/16 nut driver bit Phillips and straight bits small screw driver thermostat tool sae Allen bit set

It is interesting to calculate the measurement 4 different ways.

I just remember that he had his own line of hammers after Home Improvement became successful.

Those RRR Tim Allen signature edition hammers were made by HART Tool who was once the #1 name in California framers, so thankfully he knew enough to make sure his name was associated with a proper hammer and not a Chinese POS.

I'm just as into tools if not more so than knives and I have a lot of them that I really like, but one of my absolute favorites is the Chapman bit drivers.
I have lots of tools I just like for personal preferences, but the ever expanding Chapman kit I put together was a game changer and I have no clue how I ever lived without it.
I don't care what anybody says, the Chapman bits have no equal and I can't recommend them enough.

I will say however that they are not general purpose bits / drivers they're more of a specialty use tool, and for me that's firearm / airgun screws and the vintage spinning reels I work on.

I also love that they're a multigenerational family owned and operated company who makes their products 100% here in the USA.

About a decade ago I lived very close to their factory in the lovely little village of Durham, Connecticut. I once posted about them over on the Spyderco forum and the owner noticed traffic from the site coming to his site and popped in to thank me.

I love their hardwood cases, but I cannot justify them for myself. They have added several new items over recent years, so it's worth checking in from time to time. In fact, I think I'll order something today!

I recently got a Milwaukee M18 2 gal wet/dry vac that is pretty awesome. Being able to use it at my remote off grid cabin has been great. The performance is excellent.

I also got a Mikwaukee M18 angled 15g nailer. I held off getting a cordless nailer for a wile, but this thing rocks! I used it for putting up tongue & groove in my cabin. No jams or issues at all, and batteries last a very long time. I could kick myself for not getting one sooner.

You definitely should, I recommend the PR-13 palm ratchet and a stubby handle or two.
They also have some neat cordura type pocket tool rolls, and a plastic pocket case which you can get with one of their ratchets and rack of bits for fairly cheap

I recently bit the bullet on one of their wood tool bards and while expensive and maybe a little overpriced, it is great.
They really thought it through and it works very well, I originally planned on using it in the standing easel mode to be able to move it around but mounting it to the wall proved to be better for me.
You have the options though, and that's part of what I like.

Btw another great thing I have found with Chapman is that at least for me it has been quite easy to adapt other drivers to fit the Chapman bits.
Plus their extensions are inexpensive so it's easy to just make a driver using the handle of your choice, or even turn one on a wood lathe.

That is cool!

I just order a spare case, aluminum driver handles, and some other items. I wanted another cloth roll up, but it seems it is no longer on the site. They drop some limited time stuff at Christmas, so maybe they'll be back.

They have the aluminum driver handle available now ?
When I saw them a month or two ago they were only available with some kind of limited edition set and couldn't be bought individually which sucked.
I'll have to take a look.

Btw I didn't realize the roll up was replaced with the contoured pocket case.
I passed because I hate hook n loop / " velcro " but now I kind of wish I had bought one just because I've become such a Chapman MFG fanboy.

They have 5 styles, but only 3 are in stock.

I wish I had purchased a couple more of the rollups when I saw them last time. I got the pocket case instead and an empty case for my overflow. Don’t forget to grab a magnet to prove your fanboy bona fides! 😆

I got a free keychain with an order awhile back plus I bought the tool board partially because it doubles as a wood sign, but if they offer a magnet I'll have to get one with my next order.
I'd buy some decals and tin signs if they offered them as well, probably a T shirt too and a pin or two as well.
I wouldn't buy a hat though because I'm very particular and not the type to have a bunch of hats or wear a different one all the time.
