Today I went on our traditional post-Thanksgiving trigger finger exercise program. My older sons had to work, so it was just me and my youngest son, and his girlfriend. We went to our favorite spot in the foothills below Kings Canyon. First some pics of the general area:

And now the action shots. The first is my son with his birthday present. All I know is that shooting magnum loads with a pistol grip does not feel good.

A little historical reenactment, this time with a 1933 91/30

I usually don't post pictures of other people's kids online, but, since her face is not showing, I'll put up this pic of my son's girlfriend with my Glock 30

It was nice to get out, we need to do this more often. And for those who may be wondering, that mohawk is coming off my son really soon. His high school marching band went to the state championship last week, and half the band got a mohawk for the occasion. Even the band director told them that if they won, he would also get a mohawk. They took first place in their class (4A) and he showed up the next day with a mohawk.

looks like a fun day, but it appears as though your son and his girlfriend are twins  ;)

bummer your other sons had to work...:(

EDITED to add: nevermind ^^^ maybe it was just a glitch...

EDITED to add again:
awesome shot:

Ahh... Nothing like a little "recoil therapy", huh?

I've tried the pistol grip shotgun thing. No thanks. I'm a big fan of stocks after that.

Glad everyone had a good time. Thanks for the pics.

Edit: no worries on the mohawk. A good (although much younger) friend of mine has one that stands about 5" tall. He is Korean and likes to dress in retro style clothes (suits and ties from the '70's). Just picture it. a 5.5' 19 year-old korean with a pin striped suit and a mohawk...

He looks a bit odd but hes a good friend to have. I'm not one to judge people on how they look. Your boy is as normal as anyone in my book. Tell him congrats on first place and the new shotgun!
