Bring them on! My current fav is that small Farmer Custom Golok at the bottom of the top pic, so light you forget about it, it's like carrying a 15" straight razor on your hip...

Diving Sparrow Parang, don't own it, wish I did!

This is going to be a great thread, I hope. Seeing as how I split my time between a CAD Tech and a Survey crewman a golok/parang is a very vital piece of gear.:D

Yep!

Wow, that Diving Sparrow is sick!!

Tony - I came very close to pulling the trigger on one of these a while back, but it didn't work out. I really this pattern though...

Goloks are fun, the Barkie is my current favorite (this month). This was my first day playing with it.

Man, I love that threesome:thumbup: I've heard good things about Valiant, but have never had the chance to handle one, how does it perform?

Old Jimbo can probably comment on the Valiants better than myself - he's tried quite a few of their models and posted about them on his site:

I agree with Jimbo - they are amazing tools. The amount and ease of penetration is hard to believe until you actually see and feel it. I love the handle on mine, it's really comfortable and I haven't seen the style on many other goloks except the ones Condor is producing now.

They're worth way more than you pay for them - but the downside for anyone in the US is the cost of shipping, it adds a bit to the total price. But it's still worth it. Somehow I've managed to keep myself from buying more of them - but my resistance grows weaker as the years go by... ;):D

Bushman - Barkies welcome!

WilliamM - That's an awesome barong, I need a Siegle (still!)

Akennedy - Thanks. Valiant is on the list....

Caine - Those barongs look like very nice chopper..

jca - Is that a standard Barkie Golok? It looks a little beefier in that pic...

yep, its a barkie golok. its the non tapered version and is quite thick.

G10 tiger stripe scales. i love this thing for trail clearing and bush whacking.

The Farmer golok in these pics is not mine. I was borrowing it for a review. It's a great small golok. Sharp, too. :D

There. That should do it for a while.

Horn Dog - Is that Farmer a Dangerous Curves model?

Yes, I think so. It's a sweet little camp knife. It would be ideal for backpackers, hikers, or hunters.

ED: I checked. It is definitely the Dangerous Curves model. He has another golok that is a little longer he just calls the golok.
