...but even more surprising is the hand-written thank you note complete with my first name on it :) only other company i've experienced that is with the emberlit owner on an order last year.

new pack, Montane Dragon 20- it's a running pack that has enough (just enough :)) to squeeze in a multi-day run; gave it go last weekend and it carried like a dream, decided at the last minute to throw my pack rod in- glad I did, had some great fishing

I've been using "kitbags" that I build myself instead of the HPG KitBag. I received some new webbing and put this one together this week. It's an HSGI EOD pouch with some 1" webbing, 2 tri-glides, shock-cord, and 2 ITW G-Hooks.

It's very simple. I've tried other harnesses, but this is simple and comfortable. I like a vertical pouch on my chest. This pouch works really well but is not a great choice for "quick" CCW access like the HPG.

I have become some what of a pack and pocket whore, sold my Grey ghost set up in Coyote to get the below. Black HPG Tara with a Kifura long pocket docket to the bottom tabs just in case I need more storage and than used the split bar dock n Lock hard ware to add a small pock to the outside for stuff I need to get often. This my new EDC, I do have a highlander with all sorts add on that makes a great two to three nighter, Than My HPG Tara in foliage with the kit bag and runners harness is my day hike set up.
I have been really Jonesing for the FIRST-SPEAR MULTI PURPOSE back, currently unavailable but after talking to the lady at First spear they are having a small run ready in about 8 weeks.
Sorry I digress

Needed a couple good packs. I picked up a gen1 Kifaru EMR and a gen1 express. Needed a good multi day pack and an over nighted pack. Hope these do well for what I need. Never owned Kifaru before.

Haven't owned a kifaru pack, but all the pockets and adds in I have bought rock, so much you can do with them with the dock and lock system.

Picked up a BHK Camp Muk at the Tulsa show.
Caveman Dan is a great guy, can't wait to give this chunk of O1 steel a workout.

patagonia hi-loft down jacket...even better than my down sweater. i don't have to wear a neck gaiter anymore and can get away with a lighter beanie too.

hey, codger...i've had it for about a week and i'm really happy with it. it's very warm and i think it's just over a pound too! i finally found something that'll replace my well proven 12+ yr old wool jacket for sub-freezing temps.

it might take me a few days but i'll take detailed pics for you since there are improvements they made to this 2014 version. i snagged mine with a 20% off coupon (i'll leave you a visitor message where to wait for one) otherwise i never see this on sale even during the yearly winter clearance.
