I'm reasonably certain this will be my go-to backpacking knife.

Yeah, I went back and forth between their new Robic 210 and the limited 500d Cordura. Only an oz weight penalty for probably greater abrasion resistance, and I wanted something a little different. They had tan dyneema (I think) a while back that I would have gone with, but they were out of it by the time I placed my order. I just wanted something in more muted earth tones, and multicam is a better match for the Sierra and other CA environments I typically visit (Woodland and MARPAT Woodland were the other offerings). I normally don't go for camo, but I like how it came out. :thumbup:

20, it was an out and back for the 40's- when I finished, I'm glad no one told me to turn around and go back 20 :D

I plan to really put it through it's paces as we've got a run planned across Joshua Tree (37 miles) at the end of the end of the month, I bought a 1 liter platy hoser- fits great and still room in the main pocket- that gives ~ 75 oz of water (well 20 of that will be Perpetuem) so that should get me to the 1/2 way point where we'll have water stashed for the second half

I've been collecting since Christmas for our Island camping trip to the Everglades starting Feb. 24th. I got an Esse 4 with jump proof Molle back from my dad for Christmas. Soon after I ordered an Izula w/kit, Kershaw camp axe, Kershaw Blur and Firestarter kit My birthday was this past Saturday and I got a Maxpedition Monsoon and a bunch of random camping gear stuffers. Here's some pics.

The two BHK knives above arrived last week, and I've had a little time to play around with them. Seriously impressed.
 
Nice camp knife. Arms and Armour in minneapolis made it. I probably will only use it for camping sparsely, but it was just too cool to pass up

I've been selling off kit for a while to pay for this, and it's taken three weeks to arrive.

My new big daysack is an Eberlestock Halftrack, in military green. It's a terrific sack and so far has met or exceeded all of my hopes.

Now I just need a good long hill walk to try it out...
