Thanks, JK.

Fishiker, if you want to stay strong, don't pick up and handle a Dan Wesson. Resistance is futile. The E-series S&W are also a great 1911, but the DW is just superb, without getting into semi-custom territory.
I'll definitely keep that I mind next gun show. I missed the last few I normally go to. The wife knows I'm wanting a 28 ga. O/U so she's been finding good excuses for me to not go.

Concealed carry is welcome at the JK Shop. I say concealed because there will be a couple of policemen from Tinley stopping by to pick up the knives they ordered on Saturday.

Is there no Open Carry way up in IL ?

Down here we can Open Carry without a permit. Long as your a legal gun owner, you can Open Carry without question. In permitted areas of course.

I much prefer to keep my firearm concealed though, because a lot of stigma and nasty glances comes with open carry in public.

Gents and ladies, these are some sweet 1911s! Keep em coming! I only have the one, so later I'll try to post some better pics.

You guys are making one thing clear, you all have better paying jobs than me!

It's not necessarily about having a higher paying job, though I'm sure most here make more than I do, it's priorities. I used to have a lot more money in my "gun budget" before I had kids, even though I was making less money than I do now.

The ironies of life........Years ago I never missed a gun show and seldom had less than $1,000 cash in my pocket. My income is better now, I only go to a few shows a year, and I'm lucky if I have $400 in my pocket.

Here's a few of my favorites. All three are simply amazing shooters so far perfect many thousands of rounds in. I reload 9mm, .45acp, and .223, so those are the calibers that I tend to shoot the most. Even when ammo was impossible to find, I could still do 45's for around $0.18. Sometimes I had to compromise with less than my favorite powders, but it kept me shooting.

The top S&W 1911TA E-Series is mostly a range gun. The S&W PC1911 is my EDC. And the little Springfield Micro Compact .45 is my alternate carry when attire requires smaller and deeper concealment. Both of the black frames are lightweight alloy, so they basically weigh the same. But the Micro has an Officers frame, and short grip really makes a difference to avoid occasional grip prints.

This holster I made is my primary about 90% of the time (I carry 365). Other times is a Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe in natural horsehide. With more holsters than I want to admit in drawers because they didn't work for some reason or another. [emoji16]
