Not really a build... but my favorite AR style blaster.

LMT 10.5" upper and CMMG lower. Simple, but handy.

The far right one was the only one purchased as a complete carbine (I did upgrade to ambi selectors, stock and railed forend)...the rest have been built from stipped lowers. My favorite is the EOTech mounted one...an older PWA receiver, lightweight barrel, Daniel Defense rail and Magpul stock. I still have a couple more uppers that need lowers (dedicated .22LR, 9mm and Dissipator)...maybe this year, I'll get them finished

Wow, that has just about every option you could want! Have not handled a gas upper... how does it compare weight wise?

Not sure what you mean. Direct Impingement (gas) vs. Piston? I know that piston guns are supposed to be heavier than DI...

Not a build per se, but a Colt MT6400C that I tricked out with an MOE handguard, IWC front sling mount, MOE grip, Troy fixed BUIS, Troy rear sling mount, and Sully Stock. It's now sporting an EOTech EXPS2, but I haven't had a chance to take a photo of it. Still need an IWC light mount for my Surefire G2 LED and a VCAS or VTAC sling.

For those with the MOE handguards...any advantages over the standard? I need to build my daughter a light-weight and thought they were a little lighter than the regular M4 handguards.

Upper: BCM 16" midlength with BCM BCG, DD Omega 9.0 w/XTM panels, Aimpoint T-1 on a LaRue LT-660, MBUS rear, BCM Mod 4 Charging Handle, Magpul AFG and Streamlight TLR-1. The upper & TLR-1 were finished with Brownells AlumaHyde II in "coyote".

Lower: CMMG lower, w/CMT Stag LPK (I replaced the trigger with a Colt), BCM milspec Receiver Extension, Magpul ACS stock, MOE Pistol Grip & Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard & BAD lever.
