Post your Arno Bernard Pic's!

Can you compare them for us? Hand feel. Opening feel etc.
Absolutely. There is also a good thread someone wrote up about the 2. I will find it and come back and post it here.

The main differences are the flipper tab, blade shape is almost identical but the Orca has the finger choil and then the handle.

The tab on the orca is a little shorter and jimping starts on to as where the Imamba is a bit longer, has bigger jimping and only the side. They both flip well but I do like the Orcas little stronger detent and it also has a milled out landing pad for your finger and the Imamba does not. I’d give the Orca a win for the flipper.
For reverse flick I like the Imambas detent so it’s an overall toss up on action. Both drop shut without little help.

I prefer the no choil on the Imamba blade as it’s not something I’d ever need for how I use the knife. That being said if you like choils it’s deep and wide enough to secure your finger nicely. I have large hands and my forefinger fits no problem.

Finally the handles. Same length but I like the Imamba a lot more my hand. It’s a little leaner in hand and fits 4 fingers easily. The orca is a little wider and has some sharper corners but because it starts to curve in on the bottom I can’t fit all of my fingers very comfortably.

Orca has M390 which id rather have than RWL 34 on a knife this size but both are great steals and it just means I get to have fun stropping my Imamba a little more often ha.

Hope that helps

ETA: The pic of the CF Rinkhals is from before I sold it. I ran across it in my pics folder and is a great looking knife and just wanted to post it.

Fabulous. Thanks. A nice complimentary pair it seems.

Happy Friday, today I just realized that there is a serial # on the imamba and found a thread about it. I think it’s a cool touch. The rhinkal has been a wonderful edc, very office friendly for its size. The mirror finish on the imamba reminds me of my first crk sebbie…ats-34 no pocket clip that got modded by T. Mayo when he was taking side projects late 96-99? Just like most of us here…traded away…doh!

I bring that up, because in today’s market, that is saturated with all kinds of knives and choices for all budgets, AB stands out. I was late to the party, but am glad I’m here because there is such a high level of detail and quality coming out of the Arno Bernard shop!

I’ve gotta shout out the Orca 2 on something that out does the Imamba!

I’ve broken down and cleaned the Imamba several times. Pretty simple but my biggest Imamba complaint is the big ass pivot screws on each side. Worst part is when I reverse flick my middle finger grazes the screw and it’s not soft ha. It’s also the way I prefer to open the knife.

I just broke down the Orca and it was by far the smoothest break down of any knife I’ve had. The pivot screw is flat annd smooth and my finger never hits the back side.
Just like the Imamba the details and tolerances are truly amazing! I also like that he adds washers between the scales and bearings. It really seems to help keep the bearings clean in fact they were the cleanest part.
Best part is with the small flat pivot on the lock scale I can lay it down and then stack the the parts and blade easily.

Love my Imambas and carry them more than all my knifes combined!!

Would love to see the pivot be more like the Orca in gen 3. Crazy how good this knife is just at gen2. Bernard’s you’re amazing and I look forward to giving you more money ha!!

I’ll break them down side by side soon and add some pics IMG_5578.jpeg
