Post your Bark Rivers HERE

Here's an old pic of an Izula ii next to a Woodland Special and a Mini Fox River

Featherweight Hunter just arrived yesterday. It's a beautiful little slicer. It's ALMOST too small for four fingers, but I wouldn't want it any larger because it fits in my pocket nicely.

I just got one of these - I like the look, but that bottom corner sucks in hand. The point hits smack right between my ring finger and pinky; so I have to either slide my hand down a little so my pinky hits on the upslope (still uncomfortable), or try to squeeze my grip up to get all four fingers on the blade (which wouldn't work well for more than a quick cut or two). Between the slim Elmax and the dark curly maple scales, it's a great looking knife that deserves to be used; but it's so uncomfortable in hand that I probably won't. I might have to get rid of it in favor of a full size classic drop point. (Part of me was thinking about trying to reshape the offending section; but that would likely be a poor choice, lol)

Good looking blade. Let's see the rest of it

I really only posted to pic to show how it sat in hand, since there was a full pic of a Featherweight Hunter shown a few posts ago...but, since you asked

(sorry about the flash spots)

3V Aurora is, in my opinion, on of the best interpretations of a bushcraft blade there is. It works for food prep, for wood work and for cleaning game. It is a jack of all trades.

The 3V necker is and awesome small game/utility knife.

My husband and I do not own any Bark River knives but we have looked at them online, on another forum and here.

They are very pretty knives! They are supposed to be good quality knives.

Thank you for sharing.

Here's my one and only - a Bravo 1 LT in cocobolo, with an acid wash on the 3V steel.

Hey man! I think you post this pic just to tease me! You know that white one is my favorite right?

Just for you, my friend! Hehe...

It's hard for me to pick a favorite, though, because I've had so many... here's a few more pics for ya':

I own a Bark River Canadian Special (as well as several other knives from multiple other makers) and this particular Bark River knife is easily my most favorite knife that I've ever owned. I couldn't recommend it more highly! The model I picked up is made from A2 tool steel, with an antique white mircarta handle, with a wonderfully made sheath. For general EDC, outdoor use fishing, camping, and day-to-day chores, this blade is about as ideal as I could imagine for myself.
The knife receives compliments from everyone that notices it,.and it's inspired several others to make Bark River purchases.

It's especially nice to own a knife that's NOT made from some variant of stainless steel. The small amount of upkeep and care to maintain the blade from any corrosion is minimal. The steel sharpens easily and holds a samurai sharp edge (not at all an exaggeration). The tool steel also "ages" nicely. By that, I mean, the patina it gains from use actually looks cool,...like a story of the use and time you've had with it, earned with it. It's the kind of knife that you'd want to include in your will as an heirloom item to pass unto a younger relative someday.
All that being said,.
It was reasonably affordable given what kind of knife it is. Some knives I own, as well as a few on my wish list, are expensive enough that it'd be unlikely I'd use or enjoy them as much (it can be hard to force myself to "work" a blade that cost $400+,..know what I mean?). The Bark River blades are high quality, yet resonably affordable such that you won't mind putting them to every day use and work.

Easy to sharpen,.stays sharp very long
Wonderful look,
Priced well
Heirloom quality
Will cause envy with your friends :-)
Endless options in handle style

I hope you get a chance to enjoy one like I did.
I'll probably buy a second or third in different configurations

The Canadian Special is a "home run" EDC knife in my opinion
