To clarify, I was referencing a certain popular song from the 80's..

I've got friends in the Sydney/Bondi Beach area.

A Becker bite is probably one of the safest bites you can get in Oz! You win this thread. :D

Haha yeah sorry Orezona. Me iz uh liddl bit denss.
(that film clip still cracks me up when I watch it. That's how I'd make a film clip: bunch of mates acting like twats).

Thankfully the only other thing that bit me that day were mozzies. I think the word 'assaulted' may be more appropriate though..

Funny! I just had a Vegemite sandwich too! Completing another lyric!!!

Jius, you from Aus too? If not, you'd be one of the first people outside of Aus to voluntarily eat Vegemite.

Also, apologies folks. Not sure how to reply to numerous comments in one go. Not trying to bump up my post count.

So I ate a Vegemite sammich, packed up my stuff and reluctantly walked out of there..

I knew you were an Aussie as soon as you mentioned vegemite:)

To multi quote, click on the bottom right icon (the one with quotation marks and a + sign) on each post that you would like to quote, and do this for as many posts you're quoting. Then on the last one, click on Reply With Quote. Then click on Go Advanced. Once you do that you'll see all the quotes come up and you can reply to each. Using Preview Post is good until you're sure you have everything the way you want it before hitting Submit Reply. Hope this makes sense. It's a bit of trial and error I'm afraid.

Aha! Yes! Thank you! Been trying to figure that out! I knew that lil icon had something to do with it but wasn't sure. Thanks!
Now for this thread, the only thing I have to add is- I'm glad it flipped to page 4 lol

Little bit of column A, little bit of column B. Haha, nah. To be honest it really didn't hurt at all. Was such a clean hit. My 10 is like a razor (even after bashing the daylights out of it on the branch). I did however, wince like the female variety when the doc jammed the local anesthetic straight into the cut and then again right up under the skin on either side of it.

Yes, I sliced my palm open at work a couple years ago. Felt like a paper cut. I continued to work then gave it a look. No blood but big cut. Decided to check how deep it was and I could see the cavity inside with tendons and all. Lucky it was only flesh that cut. I wrapped it in a Tshirt and clenched a fist a I drove to the ER at duke. 3 hrs later the only pain I ever felt before or after was the numbing. Was lucky and got to watch brazil women's beach volleyball summer Olympics while I got stitched up lol. 10 stitches from near my wrist, right in the middle, and straight up just past the middle of my palm. But don't mess with my finger tips or cuticles, that shit hurts!

Not an Aussie, but a Pom/Limey as you would say, but i have worked with a few. I like Vegemite - great with a cheese baguette, better than the Marmite stuff we have here.

Dude, that sounds really gnarly hey. I hate getting cut on my palm. Worst spot. Funny how large lacerations can often be completely painless but then when you cut your finger nail too short.. OW!

Cool man. Beautiful country you've got over there bud. And nothing that'll bite, wound or maim you (animal wise anyway) so plenty of outdoor activities ahoy!
Yeah Marmite and Promite are grot. Vegemite all the way bruz!

The Land of Oz is fair dinkum too! Would love to visit there....go all Mick Dundee walkabout...hahaha all dickydee!

So it's not just me. I always get bit with a new knife learning to close it one handed. A few nights ago I had one of my folders apart for cleaning and polishing the pivot. I dropped the blade it bounced off the table and feel between my legs, it brushed my calf. Whew, that was close. A bit later while watching TV I felt a trickle and found I had a 2 inch shallow cut. Ah nuts.
