Nice set up. I have #66 of the original BHK bushcrafter run. Good little knife. That Junglas is mighty purdy. A beast for sure!!!!!
 
I just ordered a BHK bushcrafter but I am having them add red spacers

Got that for the fine work the wrecker can't do and I might even try and EDC with it
 
Spotted an already wounded doe this afternoon and decided to TRY to follow her and put her down. Stopped and ate my sandwich first though (to give her time to settle down).

thanks! i just got the bhk last monday and it's my first bushcraft type knife. i gotta say i should've bought one sooner. i'm loving that scandi grind.
 
JV3, Got the micarta I see. Is the kabar new? Tempted to get a large model since they are pretty iconic and cool too.

Don't remember from whom I stole the idea to replace the paracord knots with melted/mushroomed paracord ends, but bravo. I like that way better.

this micarta is pretty grippy unlike my esee ones. i'm actually surprised too that i haven't had the urge to dye it black yet.

that ka-bar is my first quality blade and what spawned my collection! it's my gateway knife to this addiction :p

the early 2nd gen bk-2 still came with the 1st gen sheath. i think it was only this summer they came out with the 2nd gen sheath.
 
That's a bummer. I have one of each and the Gen 2 sheath is a huge improvement. If you ever need one, I think you can buy one for around $15. I'm still using my gen 1 sheath and knife at this time. My Gen 2 is in the box. I might switch out the sheaths, or I might get some leather. Not sure.

Was wondering why it wasn't dyed black yet. They don't sand the micarta with such a high grit that the ESEE handles are done too, so it seems.
 
tried my 2 in the kitchen, its doable but not a choice I'd make. when dicing an onion criss-cross (not shown) it wedged a lot and made it a little more difficult to do, but nonetheless functioned..

after dicing onions (pic not shown) it left a patina on the blade.

Here's a picture from a hike I went on 3 weeks ago.
I brought some heavy metal, and showed a buddy here on BF my Becker BK9 and my JAB PB, he loved them so much, he went home and ordered a BK2 and is talking about the JAB being his next purchase!

I am going to strip all 3 of these knives..and add a micarta grip to the JAB and BK9..I will most likely purchase the BK9's grips, and make the JAB grips.
The pistol is my buds SIG 22, he packed it in.

mmm, the JAB is great stuff. need to abuse mine more...

teh Fox line has me all twitterpated lately :> they have some excellent looking choppers and lovely shapes and reasonable prices. they appear to be Extrema Ratio but a less expensive lineup? mmm. love me that Extrema Ratio Khukri KH i gotta tella ya. perhaps a Fletcher Knives Ulysses?

Just looked up their products and do seem to be a Extrema Ratio type of knife. Though where can you buy them? Haven't heard of them before, nor seen them.
