Post your Becker knives pics here

I believe he is Tommythewho here on the forums as well. I have a set for my BK10, and I was eyeing that pair for my 15 as well but you snatched them up! Good on you, they look greaT.

Those are extremely nice! Could you please PM me the web address? I would like to get some. Thanks!!!

Thanks. I did a quick ebay search and there they were. :)

Than Indian Rosewood is by far the prettiest.

Yeah you have to grab the Indian rosewood up when available. He only had 2 when I bought mine. And now they are gone...

do the scales make you feel like you shouldn't use the knife? Mine do lol they just look too purdy to mess up!

The scales make more more likely to use my knife, they're grippier and make the use of the knife more enjoyable.

Using the knife with the rosewood scales around water like say cleaning a fish for dinner. Will this damage or change the appearance of the scales at all? I was told to use turtle wax on them. Will this be enough to protect them?

Oh And because this is a knife pic thread

My pack ready to go for this weekend got the old trusty bk9 strapped and ready to rock!

Wood scales to me are nice to look at. A little too slippery for me. Micarta to me has s better grip. I prefer the grivory black handle then I stipple them. Wood is just too Pretty ta mess up

See that's what I was thinking. I'm probably going to switch back the stock scales for field use. Buy another 15, throw the wood scales on it and just use it lightly in the kitchen and around the house.

Good deal we think alike

All wooden scales made by TommyWho are hardwoods and far more durable than you give them credit for. If too slippery, rough them up with sandpaper. If too rough, smooth them up with sandpaper. Here and there treat them with some oil or wax. Is that easy. These scales will perform well in wet or dry. It can't get any better than that.
Rough micarta is OK I guess, but with some usage it'll feel like used diaper. Besides, contour of Becker scales provides all the grip you'll ever need.

Beckers are just like Jeep Wranglers. Even when fully loaded, leather seats and such, don't be afraid to take them off-road. That's what they were build for. Otherwise you're better off with crossover.

Just my $0.02...

I think use will change the appearance of the scales, it has changed everything else I've ever used that was wood, but it is for the better as it adds character.
