Well, my postal scale is reading 12.6 OZ for the Camillus BK10 with thicker scales. The Ka-bar website says .75Lbs or converted 12oz on the current model BK10What is the weight on those bad boys? I get totally different results depending on where I look.
Mind explaining when and why you would choose to use one or the other? I have never really understood the specific use case for a kukri vs a similar sized straight knife. I suppose it would chop a bit better but imagine it has other upsides/downsides as well.
