I just took this picture of my very first Becker...

I have been milling around for a while, but I'll make this my official hello to the community. Hello! Like I said, this is my first Becker and I'm having lots of fun trying it out (just in my yard, mostly). I have noticed that its not too easy to make fuzz sticks (feather sticks?) with this knife. Maybe I need to get a Necker or Eskabar. Would those work better for a task like that? Sounds like I caught the bug.

Edit: Also, I'm currently in the midst of making a Woodlore clone knife out of a file. I think I might make a work-in-progress thread in the knife makers area.

for a sheath i thinking something like this but with a few changes. i've made a few sheahs now so i think i can pull it off.

Every time I use it (which is lots), I'm impressed anew at how well the BK9 chops. Here it is posing with a new, freshly chopped crosspiece for one of my bush chairs.

Mmmm... cookies and coffee while hunting. Yow!
