Slightly recurved the blade, mustard and vinegar patina (factory coating under the scales), handles are red oak
These are the second set of handles I made for this knife (only the third set I've ever made) and were only meant for practice. I was going to replace 'em with some hickory or apple but I'm kinda diggin' 'em.

Oh yes... The Red Oak is nice. Also, the recurve 16 reminds me of a mini BK1 brute.

Nice! How does it feel in hand?

It's a lot lighter and slicier now. I put in some liners but the handle still is about 1mm slimmer than before, which is really nice too. Handlewise, it feels like a BK-9, which I like a lot.

I am in the process of shortening the blade a little by drawing the point down to achieve a sort of nessmuk-style blade shape.
 
Before the 9 was stripped and rampless (also before the 14 and 16 were stripped and modded):
