Finally had a chance to swing these old school Becker’s hard...
My thoughts: the Patrol Machete bites down hard and is a wonderful chopper. It is most worthy of a reissue given the KaBar treatment. It’s really a no brainer and the BK6 should be rereleased ASAP. This is a great Becker and I think I like it more than the 21. The Brute, on the other hand, is not so worthy. I swung both of them hard into some dry hard wood. Look at the difference in the wear, the BK1 didn’t bite into it. The 9 is a much better blade.
