have only used a tri-hone and the sharpmaker at home. I have a worksharp field sharpener that would do the trick if I was away from my garage. probably speaks to the heat treat and geometry of the 9 but it hasn't needed a lot of attention yetWhat method have you found best to field sharpen your Bk9?
I could see that, My bk2 and bk16 both have great edge retention as long as I stick to wood. Even batoning pretty big stuff they stay razor sharp with just a stropping for days.have only used a tri-hone and the sharpmaker at home. Gotta sweet package in the mail today fromJJ_Colt45 ! He graciously reached out and offered me this beautifariffic (just made that word up) cuttin' machine.
A BK15 with micarta scales!
I will get some time using and snapping some pics.... it's a beauty. For the life of me I can't figure out why this was discontinued. It's an incredibly practical design.
AndJJ_Colt45 ... thank you sir. Really. It's gestures like this that restore my faith in humanity.
