Yeah, that'll happen sometimes. I like to dab a bit of thread locker on the bolts, which adds a bit of security.

I always found it funny the Blue thread locker comes in a red tube and the red threadlocker (permanent one) comes in a blue tube. What the hell loctite...

What method have you found best to field sharpen your Bk9?

What method have you found best to field sharpen your Bk9?

have only used a tri-hone and the sharpmaker at home. I have a worksharp field sharpener that would do the trick if I was away from my garage. probably speaks to the heat treat and geometry of the 9 but it hasn't needed a lot of attention yet

I could see that, My bk2 and bk16 both have great edge retention as long as I stick to wood. Even batoning pretty big stuff they stay razor sharp with just a stropping for days.

What is the actual weight of the bk9 without the sheath? I see a ton of varying info online. Been trying not to get one for years but I think its undeniable at this point....haha too good a blade.

I will get some time using and snapping some pics.... it's a beauty. For the life of me I can't figure out why this was discontinued. It's an incredibly practical design.

And JJ_Colt45 ... thank you sir. Really. It's gestures like this that restore my faith in humanity.
