How to trace the shape of a handle the machinist way? Well, there are two way to do it. The easy way is... If your shop had a CMM (coordinate measure machine) then all you have to do is to probe the contour of the scale and the machine will draw the peripheral and display dimensions. Still, how precisely it reads totally depend on the skill of the operator (user). To be honest, I only trust the reading about 80% the other 20% error are caused by user error and difference in tolerance, equipment calibration etc...Wow, sharp, that looks just great. I really like the Izula scales with the Punisher skull. Would you lose a few words about your workflow for tracing the shape of the handle?
