Post your best forumite/Bladeforums experiences here!

This is awesome guys! See how much of a community we are? Here's a few more details.

I remember when Kelly (Senator) got his Hossom Duelist for a knife show. I remember because I saved the pic and the pic has been my wallpaper more than once. And, as you see, Chang has been helped out by R.W. Clark, who jsut had a baby! Which we all know about. I think Iw as the last Changbenza customer, and Chang upgraded my orde rfrom Changmascus to Dt and a handle material other than Chang Proprietary Chang-board material. Pretty cool.

Keep the posts coming. If this place has gicen something to you, you need to post here.

In my line of work I do not have the option of taking weekends off and going to a lot of knife shows. I get most of my customers via word of mouth. I participate in several forums, but I have become particularly fond of BF.

I have seen a real attitude of friendship and trust here. As well as a no nonsense attitude in telling it like it is. I enjoy sharing my creations and seeing what the other guys are doing as well. Inspiration comes in many forms around BF.

I have also been able to provide a few custom knives to folks through the help of BF. Thanks to those who took the chance of ordering from the new guy, General, Doug, Ardy, Fernando, Josh, Thayne..... There may be more!

Hi all- I guess I'm probably still considered new here- only been around for about 3 months or so, but I just love it here! I got introduced by my boyfriend who was always on here- trading Striders and acqiring new ones every time I turned around! So, one day, I decided to see what all the hubbub about BF was, and now I can't leave! It's the first thing I check in the morning, and the last before bed. I have learned so much, and have "met" so many great people! I was welcomed with open arms within MINUTES of my first post. Now that I am a proud owner of my first knife, an Emerson CQC-7B, I am officially a "Lady Suspect" too! How cool is that? HAHA!! Anyway, thanks, guys, and girls! You've made another addict out of me!
Also cool was attending the NYCKS last week- it was so great o be able to walk around and recognize different knives and companies where 3 months ago I wouldn't have had the foggiest idea about!
Thanks to Duane from Strider for being so cool!! You're the best, Duane!

Wow. Hard to say. There are so many great guys here, like Senator and Dexter and the late James Mattis. Please no one feel slighted at not being mentioned. There are too many great people here to list.

Kodiak PA and I started an email dialogue about a REKAT Pioneer and have been friends ever since. All of you who have ever talked to Greg know what a great guy he is!

Cecil Self is another great guy here. He has made the move from dealer to maker/dealer and that is just cool to see a natural evolution of knife appreciation. Cecil, too, is a great fella who certainly knows his knives.

There are too many great people here to mention. Traded literally dozens of knives and other things here and all have gone great. One person and I disagreed about what "excellent condition" was but it was not a big enough deal to even worry with.

I love this place. It's like a second home.

One of my best forum experiences was all the member support I got when I was (illegaly) busted for having my Strider/Buck on CSU Fresno campus. Just wish it could have been under betyter circumstances.

Well let's see;

I've received a graduate level education in "Cutlery; Theory and Application" from Jerry Hossom and Will York, free of charge and strictly the result of their own generosity;

I have an open invitation to pester and harrass Tom Mayo each year at Blade West (an invitation which is extended by Jerry, BTW ;)), and;

Should I ever move to Canada, I will be encouraged to have my last name changed to Tichbourne.

Sorry guys, but it just doesn't get any better than that. :D:D:D

Man, I just ran across this thread this morning. I don't know where to start. I have met many nice folks on the forums. I got to join the NC knife knuts and have a blast with them. We all miss David Baker alot and hope he comes back soon. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Larry and Vince at BladeArt many times and they have become my favorite dealer:D One highlight for me is going to Mike Snody's shop and starting my first knife. I can't wait to finish it :) (Mike are you listening? If so email me). I have done lots of trading, buying, and selling with the most kind people I have ever met here at BF. I have got to talk to several knifemakers (Darrel Ralph, Tom Mayo, Jerry Hossom, Mike Snody, Andrew McLurkin, Alan Folts, Jones Bros.) and consider them all to be friends. There is so much to be thankful for here. Oh yeah, I want to thank Mike and Spark for starting these forums :)
michael :D
