Post your best knife!

my favourite folder: 154cm / green micarta titanium

my best fixed blade when it comes to grinds would be this: infi / g10

Depending on the definition of "best" I would go with one of three knives:

#1 might be the large Sebenza 21 that is sitting unboxed under the tree waiting for me to open on Christmas morning. :D

#2 would be this William Henry E10.

And #3 would be this GEC #66 Calf Roper in Mammoth Ivory. A nearly perfect little cutter for the pocket.

My best knife both quality wise and sentimental value wise is my Fiddleback Forge Duke gifted me by my son, with the sheath he made for me as well. This is O1 tool steel with Honduran rosewood handles. It takes and holds a scary sharp edge and just melts into the hand.

My "Best" knife is one that really pushed a lot of others out of my pocket. It is so slim and easy to carry, and so darn useful I am amazed every day. I never thought I would like it so much; the Boker Base designed by Jens Anso. Made in Germany from N690BO steel with translucent G10 scales.

Amazing knives guys! Really like the damascus steel knives. How much does a Sebenza with a damascus blade go for nowadays, and how good do they hold an edge?

Konosuke sujihiki fuji @ 270 mm.

Basic Japanese slicer I use for about 75% of my tasks at work. Basic carbon blade, shitan wood hexagonal handle, very quick and sharp.

Earns me a decent salary.

My best is a D'Holder custom. Ironwood, Oosic and amber handle. Not sure of the blade metal and don't care. It will never cut anything. Upper left in

I just recently bought a Fantoni HB 02 and I am pretty much in love with it. My most sentimentally valuable knife is a K Tragbar that my grandfather gave to me. It was a low cost knife when it was made in the 70's and worth about $30 today, but it has served me so well that I can never bring myself to buy a different fixed blade. I figure that I'll get a new fixed blade someday if my daughter (my eldest) decides she wants it when she gets older.

But I like buying folders, and here is the most recent and nicest I've bought (pictured with my great great grandfather's rifle)

Well my best knife WAS my KW BM810 M390 but...

I got a Spyderco Gayle Bradley and fell in love with it so much that I gifted the Benchmade to my soldier friend as a homecoming gift from Iraq

That was very generous of you to gift the Contego to a returning soldier. Hats off to you for that!
I am curious however to know what makes the Gayle Bradley a better knife? The Contego is a serious beast of a knife.
I'm not hating on Spyderco..had one in my pocket all day yesterday :eagerness:

It's really no better than the Contego but I found the Contego a little large to EDC and thought it would freak some people out at my work so I didn't use it all that much. My best friend had just returned from Iraq and I showed him the Benchmade and he absolutely loved it so I figured he'll use it more than I will and it would make a great homecoming gift so I gave it to him. It was a beast for sure and I would've kept it but I knew how much he liked it and it will be put to good use. I needed something less of a monster for a work EDC.

I have EDCd the bottom Ritter (S30V) for over 5 years, maybe over 6 now. It had the factory scales until July when I replaced them with the honeycomb black G-10 from Allen Putnam.
The top Ritter is a new M390 but it hasn't kicked the other Ritter out of my pocket so far.

The little AG Russell 2.5 Titanium Lock Back has been in my wallet coin pocket for years. V-10 steel, titanium handles obviously.

I have so many more knives but these two are still my "Starters".

Fixed: Fallkniven volcano
Folder: Lone Wolf cocobolo lobo d/a,
Favorite/best that get carried daily
And a roselli axe when traipsing around the woods

I make the grips for sheath knives. I don't make the blade. These two blades are from Brashears. The smaller blade has a brass butt cap, antler grip and stainless bolster. Blade is 440 Stainless from Gary Brashears. The second is a peened 440 Stainless blade by Gary Brashears. The grip is antler butt with a concho on the crown, leather, Micarta and Copper on the rest of the grip. The guard is Nickel/Silver. Both are sold
