Post your Blade / Gun EDC combo...

Is this a 9mm carbine version of the AR?

Yes it is. The lower is from DDLES (Double Diamond Law Enforcement Supply) and the upper is from Spike's Tactical. The DDLES lower uses standard AR-15 parts and takes standard Colt (Metalform) 9mm mags. They also recently came out with a lower that uses Glock magazines! That's my next purchase if I can control my knife spending LOL!

the part in red isn't a factual statement.

a gun > no gun

since this thread isn't dedicated to SD discussions and the forum in general isn't "gun" oriented i'll not carry this further.
Really. A gun > no gun. Who said it wasn't. There are very small 9mm pistols so I'm saying there really is no need to carry any caliber smaller then a 9mm. We are talking about something that can possibly save your life so why someone would carry anything smaller then a 9 is beyond me. If you can't carry a small 9mm kahr or Sig p290 then may be you need to stop wearing spandex. Those are too easy to hide.

Yes I agree that even a 22lr is better then not carrying a gun, but if your going to carry a gun, I say 9, .40, or .45

I say it all the time that people worry way too much about trying to cc a gun so it doesn't bulge at all. I carried for 2 years OWB open with a shirt and tie. It is amazing how many people never noticed I had it on. Especially if I had my hand in my pocket and my elbow was over the gun. People just don't pay attention. I'm not saying have a 44 mag with a huge bulge, but I can carry a commander 1911 no problem and it cc's fine.

But I'll say it again. There are plenty of pocket 9mm's for you people who like 100% descrete carry

a little bit of size comparison: Ruger LCP, LC9, SR22, S&W 642 Pro and a G19

i come into contact with a lot of "professionals" (real estate, banking, landscape, retail, etc..) that can't afford to have someone know that they're armed. small guns are the order of the day.
