Thats a robber fly. And that yellow jacket actually looks like it could be a reproductive or a queen! Really cool!

This strange bug landed on my back porch.

It is about 3" long!

Thats an eastern eyed click beetle. Also called Big eyed click beetle, etc. If you pick him up, he hides his legs under his body and looks like a torpedo. If you flip him on his back, he'll click

HUGE wolf spider:

Those water bugs (giant water bug, toadstabber, electric((cuz of the bite)) ) can bite like the bejezuz. They have this long piercing sucking mouthpart. One of my buddies picks one up and I watch him drop the beer bottle he had in the other hand and whince in pain!


The guy from Taiwan might know of them. They are a delicacy there.
