BTW, what's the deal with the recurring photo I see on many different places
showing a knife with a coin and flashlight like Markesharp posted above?

#3! Outstanding! If I had that one I'm afraid it would get carefully fondled, but never really used.

Thanks but the character of dark charred wood (which I would gave been thrilled with) and a sharp splinter missing on an edge are two different things to me. At least it freed up the cash to get my Ancient Barlow so all is well in the end. [emoji2]

I got #28 and it looks really good. If I could, I'd post a photo, but my skills are rather lacking.
Very pleased with how this one came out. Also picked up the ale bone and the "other" beer barrel version. Don't need any more beer scouts since I got one of every version, including the "gunstock, from the original offering.
I now have a drinking problem.........................:very_drunk:
 
As a big bourbon fan sorta kicking myself, how much were these going for? Maybe I can tell myself they were too expensive. :p.
 
I've got #31, but I don't have a photo at the moment. I got kinda lucky, as I am 31 years old. It'll help me remember what year I got it when I get up there in age.

The charred beer barrel went for around $110 retail. I will add, there are still beer barrels available for around $95, just not individually numbered. They were made from the outside section of the staves and not the charred interior section.
 
I am going to use number 3 Ironbut. I am not really a collector. I have about a dozen knives that I use lightly. They are all in good shape, and I do not sell them. Number 3 is a nice rich colored one. It does have one finger nail sized split running from the pin to the bolster. But it definitely looks as good as the nicer ones pictured here. They all seem to have some rough spots. I do not know what it is about these charred oaks, but they just look and feel special. Number 3 also seems to sharpen up better than my draft beer acrylic, which I also believe is a home run.

A number of the dealers got some of the 225 . I don't know which dealers other than CK and KSF had them that can be named on these threads. But I did see them on a few other dealer sites. They were a big surprise at the end of the run of the Beer Scouts.
