Post your Charred Oak Beer Scout # Here.

I'll assume your forum name is just coincidence with the number you received. Could this be a April Fools come early;):D your luck in Beer Scout oddities continues from your Sunbrite version from last year:thumbup:

Paul- I had to snag #33 when given the opportunity as this has been a favorite number for quite awhile. I also managed to obtain #96, so you can put me down for that one as well! I originally only had the #96, but when I saw #33, I had to get that one too. I was going to sell or trade #96, but now I will hold onto it as #33 turned into a crazy error. This has certainly turned into an peculiar adventure in charred beer barrel oak Beer Scouts. I still own the KnifeBrite Beer Scout with the uneven stamp. :-)

#222 is really nice! I like how the natural grooves have been aligned with the shield and top pin. It gives it an aged, well-loved appearance.

Thanks! Here's a shot of the other side, which also has quite a bit of texture to it. Also pictured, the "completely smooth, yet scratted" pattern oak of its BS brother.

If you have time, I'd like to see the error on your Knifebrite...

Thanks Chris, I added your #96:thumbup:

I'll keep you guys in suspense about a couple more that I'll add once I get to open them on Christmas. I know the numbers, my wife just hasn't let me see them yet for pics. So numbers will come with pics on sunday.

Here's #199, with some nice battle-scarred handles. I like the character!

Joanne loaned me a few of her beer bottle caps! Collecting runs in the family - on both sides!

Thanks for keeping the record, Paul!

Merry Christmas everyone. I finally got to unwrap my beer scouts this morning. I am super pleased with both pieces. I scored #136 and #140. I put 140 back up before I took pictures so I'll get those next time I take it out to look at it. Here's some indoor shots of 136. It has some excellent vertical tiger stripes I'm guessing are quarter sawn marks from what I've read from you guys. I cant wait until I can get some sunshine shots.

Thanks for the recent additions/posts. Updated:thumbup:

MERRY Christmas and Happy Hanukkah Everyone:thumbup:

I have a #33 charred oak Beer barrel knife that I bought last week. One small issue though...the knife I received is NOT charred oak, but is a maroon linen micarta Beer Scout with a #33 stamp on it! GEC says that this is an error and the wrong knife was stamped and inserted into the tube. Take a look at the photo below. Has anyone seen this sort of error from GEC before, and if so, is this knife worth anything as it is the completely incorrect material? Let me know your thoughts as I am new to the forum. Thanks guys and gals!

So you got the Rolling Rock Beer Scout. :)

First post! I just wanted to add my name to the list, I have #50 of 225.

Here are my #96 regular Charred Beer Barrel Scout and #33 "Error" Maroon Linen Micarta "Charred Beer Barrel" knives together.

Late is better than never, or so they say :p It was a busy holiday season but I'm finally back sitting around bored doing work and browsing forums again :D Missed this thread when they first came out. Here's 95! It has some great coloring and a nice chunk missing on the pile side

I must say as a follow up, that is quite funny about the maroon "rolling rock" beer scout :D and I love how light yours is #136 lead slinger.

I will be cracking some beers during our next playoff game with this guy for good luck, paul. GO PATS!!!

Normally I think I'd be a little miffed that a knife had a chunk of wood taken out of it. But I must say that one above looks absolutely fantastic and I think it's the perfect character mark for the charred barrel story. I think that's my favorite one yet, Jimbo. If it ever bothers you and you feel the need to sell or trade for my #97, hit me up. :)
