I thought it would be fun for everyone to post up whatever they got for the woods for Christmas. Or maybe something else you got that you thought was really cool.

I picked up a Kleen Kanteen from my mom which I'm pretty happy about. I think I may use it to built a kit around with the typical PSK stuff and maybe a hobo stove so I can cook in it.

Let's hear what everyone got!

ETA that I got myself an Imperial Kamp King at an antique shop the other day too. I think it's from the mid 60s or so.

Mom surprised me with an Eton Microlink FR150. I thought that was pretty cool as she never even attempts to get me anything outdoorsy.

AM/FM/all 7 NOAA weather band, solar and crank powered radio with 3 LED light. at 5" X 2.5" X 2" its very compact and fits well in the pocket of the new BOB.

Tried it out for a few minutes yesterday and it seems to work pretty good. With the solar panel on top and a well lit area it ran 'til I got bored and turned it off. I'll write up a review later after I test the battery life with the light on.

This is my first crank radio/light. I've never been a big fan. I do like having a radio close for news in the event of emergency or blackout.

Kind of a bust this year! Only asked santa for a certain billy pot, but got sock, shoes, and some paracord. At least I've got extra paracord though...

I did pick up a new 4" scandi that should arrive next week, so I'm excited about that.

Nothing for the woods so far. I got some music from mom, tradition around here since I listen to most all genres there is always a cd I don't have. I didn't ask for anything since the economy hit my folks really hard. I did buy myself a set of Tasco 10x42 binoculars and a Red Ryder BB Gun because my youngest bro trashed mine. Oh..and my brother sent us a Wii from Iraq.

My wife took my hints seriously and I received a couple of gear pieces that I really wanted. 1) Mechanixs gloves. This things are amazing and will be perfect for field activities. 2) Little butane blow torch. Inspired by Pitdog's difficulty in firestarting. Its my last resort, gotta get a flame going. So far, initial tests are that it works great!

I got a Queen Cutlery Mountain Man lockback, it's sweeter than the peaches that come in a can. :D One of these days I'll write up a review for it...for now suffice to say it's a darn fine knife and if you've been thinking of getting one, by all means go for it. USA made and high quality

I got these from my daughters. "Primitive Skills And Crafts", Victorinox Forester, and emergency cell phone charger. I also got season 1 & 2 of "Bones", my favorite TV show. I did another post on what my grandkids got me, the best gifts of all.

Thanks fellas, congrats on your gifts as well.

I just came in from taking a few shots with it. Shoots pretty staright out of the box, I need to adjust the scope a lil as expected.

It is really quiet with led pellets, but pretty loud with Gamo Raptor PBA .177 pellets but hey it shoots those at 1200FPS

Amongst the "stuff", the family got me a new Estwing hatchet with stacked leather handle :) My Dad sent out an old Air Force survival manual he had that was printed on my birthday :D

I got five pairs of Smartwool socks! I used to hate getting socks when I was a kid. Now I love it!

I also got a Delta SA180 1x42 sander, a gift card to Woodcraft and a gift card to Eastern Mountain Sports.

I truly lucked out this year. What a wife I have!
