Christmas was the best I've had in years. Went out to my wife's folks for stockings and breakfast. Also left them a good dinner as I had to come home and sleep so as to be at work now.

My wife, happy nine months in three more days dear, surprised me. She knows I love decorated houses (lights, etc) so she got out the ladder and the light pole and managed to string lights on the rest of the front of the house (two bedroom gabels) along with setting up a really nice manger scene. Then along with all the other stuff the last present turned out to be a knife display case. Has five locking drawers and a locking glass top. It will be fun to get all my knives into one place and decide which ones to lay out and which ones to keep in the drawers.

She got it from displaygifts dot com. The picture is from their web-site.

- World War Z book. about zombie's..

I'm only about a quarter way through the book, but it's a fun read.

Looks like everyone got awesome gifts!

I got clothes and a video game, but I bought myself a Delta grider, 36" of A-2 steel, bunch of belts, and 2 new knives (Scrap Yard SOD). :D

I already mentioned the Queen knife I got, but my GF got a big Xmas surprise yesterday too... her 20-yr-old son up and joined the Marines! He wants to be a diesel mechanic. We're very proud of him but a little concerned too, y'know. Say a prayer for him and the rest of our servicepeople, please :)

God Bless him!

My son turns 20 in three weeks. He is doing the Delayed Entry Program and goes off to the Navy in July. He has elected to be a Hospital Corpsman so he'll be spending a bunch of time with the Marines.

I know what you mean about concerned but like I told my wife, he could be hit by a drunk driver tomorrow. You'll always be concerned no matter what he does.

Now, the real question, are you as stumped as I am on which knife to get him when he finishes basic? :D

That's true, and thanks for asking a blessing for him. Corpsman sounds like a terribly hard job to me, I've known a couple combat-vet medics and all I can say is, they're angels as well as heroes. God Bless you and yours and all our military and their families as well:thumbup:

LMAO I was literally just surfing the AG Russell site for nice commemorative K-bars :D

My middle brother, now 21, has been in the Corps since he graduated and is on his second tour of the desert shithole. I have decided that if he goes back to college like he says he will I am having a custom made 1911 and Ka-Bar set with the EGA and some of the USMC history on it.

From the Wife I got LL Bean Colonial Rucksack waxed canvas and a shirt.
From a good friend I gave me a UK style bushcraft knife. Thanks Kobi! In return I gave him a set of Japanese water stones 800, 1200, and 6000 grit.
My father ended up getting me a 10MP Canon powershot camera. Which I'm going to use to take a couple pics for here when I get the chance.
My sister in-law got me a gift card to Eastern Mountain sports.
My father got my son a Wii, but us grown ups kind of took it over! LOL

Oh and I forgot to add that I got into a car accident and dinged up my car pretty good. This kind of ruined it for me, but I am eventually going to get over it.

NICE STUFF GUYS!

My family (and many others ) did a "no gifting" christmas..ofcourse the kids got plenty..but the adults didnt. My parents still bought each other gifts...thats cool. My Mom did sneak me in a Fleece! Its really nice, and I needed another one. I did get the knives from Mike Stewart..so I guess he is the only one to get me a gift:(....just kidding.

I guess these are from me, to me. I keep hearing that if you buy yourself a gift that you are an A-hole..that makes me laugh..I always treat myself...I am the only one who gets the gifts I want right.
I stopped and bought the wifey an antique glass vase..she collects old blown glass. Gene
