Post your CRK carry knife for today.

I am gaining much more appreciation for the Umnumzaan, it has been my least carried CRK but have “forced” myself to carry it for the last few weeks. I am finding it quite useful, esp for more labor intensive tasks, and the texturing has been great for yard work and “in the mud” jobs.

Gotta say the harpoon blade is really fantastic in ways that even the Insingo isn’t.

I'd be interested in hearing more about this.

Well, a few things:

1) The "double poon" is great for a normal saber grip, but the dip further up the blade is nice for choking up on draw cuts

2) The harpoon tip itself is nice to opening packages/etc when you don't want to get things on the main blade but have things that need opened or scraped, it is a bit sharper than the swedge of the Insingo

I really like the Insingo, quite a bit; but I am learning to find the Zaan quite useful in my day to day.

^^^^^

Part of the reason I recently added the "tanto" to my large (regular) drop point, and small 21 Insingo.

Wanted to see what it would bring to the dance. Your #2 is along those lines. 🍻

I also appreciate that the Zaan is the last remaining "old grind", keeping the deeper/smaller hollow grind I always loved on CRK's.
