It’s a very late start to the morning chores, but it’s worth it. Today is the first 68+ degree day here for 2020. These two. Then probably the large tanto Micarta 21 for chores.

Mixing it up a lot lately.

S21 Tanto with stone-washed slabs and leather lanyard.

The small Tanto blade is extremely useful for a very limited number of tasks it does really well. For most everything else, it’s less than ideal. As a small EDC, in my opinion, it’s more of a curiosity than an optimized blade shape. I am sure the large version has much more practicality. Still love carrying it regardless.

I guess that is why we have selection , this small has been in my pocket almost a year this month and I love it .
The tanto has the strongest tip and could be why I like it??? LOL

I’ve got two large tanto’s, this and a micarta Inkosi. I’ve never had a small but as far as the larges go they ain’t that bad. Definitely not the most practical or my favorite shape but they’ll get the job done. It took me a little bit of adjusting to get used to a tanto but once I figured out the best way to use them for the task at hand it became second nature. In my opinion I haven’t really found anything in my usage a tanto does better than an insingo tho

My 21 Insingo is my go-to, also. I wanted to try a tanto, so I picked up the Inkosi. Still not convinced it’s a blade that I need, so will give it some time. Sure is pretty, though.
