Always loved your Mnandi, but what happened with the zaan?
Heres my post in another thread this afternoon.

Lets just say I had the opportunity to review the local concealed weapons statutes with a fine member of our local law enforcement agency today. In particular how they pertain to knives with a blade length over 3.5 inches which are not covered by the Concealed Handgun Permit I hold.He was most thorough in his explanation of the consequences of violating the ordnance with respect to my CHP and its upcoming renewal.
As I am a fast learner he kept it at a verbal lesson.”

I decided to do some research on Nebraska knife law after I saw you zaan for sale and your Mnandi picture posted. I would have never guessed there was a length restriction in Nebraska and I hate to hear that. Most shocking is that you are mostly surrounded by states who now have "constitutional carry" laws in place.

I hope you are writing your representatives to ease or eliminate these restrictions, and even though I am not in your state, I plan to write as well.

Until your freedoms are restored, hard to beat a Mnandi!!

After further review, it looks like Nebraska narrowly missed their chance in 2022 to enact constitutional carry by only having 31 of the 33 votes needed to overcome the filibuster in the state which would have allowed the bill to move to a vote. 6 representatives were present but did not cast votes to end the filibuster. I hope 2023 is a better year for Nebraska and you are able to make some progress towards freedom. While constitutional carry may be gun law, it would be hard to imagine a concealed knife carry length restriction that stood up to review once carry of a firearm is guaranteed by the state as an individual right.

I was watching the vote closely with the same thought. We really thought we had the votes to do this. I was so convinced I said F it and moved on the Zaan. Live and learn. We will push back harder next year. We grow tired of the city libs running our conservative state.
