I have a Sebenza again! It’s been a bit of a journey. I stepped away from the knife hobby about 3+ years ago, and had actually sold almost all my modest collection, but I’m coming back around to the hobby again. This L31 arrived today. I’ve had maybe 6 CRK’s over the years and sold every one of them. I really wanted to like everything about them - except the poor heat treat on the S35VN steel and the factory sharpness was never better than “meh.”. I figured out how to really sharpen a knife, but My opinion only, the heat treat just bugged me. Years ago, I was so eager for an Insingo blade in MagnaCut at the higher hardness. This came to me today and I’m very much enamored with it right away (it’s everything I remember) and it is really sharp! I’m very much looking forward to using this, and already thinking I may go in on the 1-year challenge with it.
Pictures are from yesterday but the knife is still used today.
