Then the last one I got was one from Sursum Knife Works that I simply couldn’t resist, even with only the little I have had a chance to do with it so far it is most certainly a favorite.

I love that one, what a great looking knife.

Between those two, I'd say you've got just about everything covered. Excellent choices, both.

Here is one bushcrafter, one chopper and on machete in action.

Say Hear Guys,
Sorry no pic's here either, but I'm going lighter too. I went from my Ontario Ranger Afghan 1/4" 5160 steel and my Ontario RD 9 also 1/4" 5160, to a Ratmandu and the Rodent 9, the RMD is 3/16's and the Nine is 1/4 then I lightened my Himalayan Import M43 18" blade to a M43 10" thinner blade , but other than a Moral clipped I never had a 1/8" blade all were thicker blades, so now I have To John Bradley Camp Knife 1/8" 52100 blade and fella's lemme tell'ya its awesome scary sharp and its everything I want to do bushcraft wood work, I even went from a Cold Steel Reconcile Scout I carry at camp to a Fallkniven NL-3. A smart man learns by his own mistakes, but a wise man learns by there's mistakes, Thank You very much fella's for all your Great inputs I learned over time at this Forum. God Bless Y'All for Your knowledge you taught me.

Say Heah Guys,
I just got a knife from a knife maker by the name of John Bradley. He made me one of his camp knives, in a 1/8" thick 52100 steel. I was a bit hesatent because most of my knives are 3/16's thick. You men taught me there are more factors to knives ei. geometry, tempering etc. the knife is a real scary sharp, nice pointy knife. then I found out it wasn't tempered, but banite hardened or austempered? anyhow I knew something good that the knife was special. it does my sort of bushcraft and then some. But? can anyone tell me what low banite austempering is? because that 4 1/2" camp knife with ironwood handle is one excellent knife. Yet I don't know what I have.
Thanx in advance,
Paul'ie

Machine26,

Awesome pics. Kinda puts the whole "hollow handles are weak and worthless" thing in perspective. I to have a Randall 18 that I find works excellent in the woods. Thanks for posting.
