Picture thread...

Just wondering what the folks with "traditional" tastes have in there "non-traditional" rotation.
What's your favorite "non-traditional" knife?

Ummmm, this is the traditional forum where one is not allowed to play with non traditionals in the forum :D

Regards

Robin

Maybe.... Only time will tell.

On a serious note there is a modern and traditional carry thread somewhere in here. Might be a few pages back.

My favorite non-traditional was the last one I sold in order to by another traditional.;)

I was going to close this. I'll move it General for those that might want to show off something not allowed here.

I love traditional knives...

...but my favourite modern knives are made by CRK and Spyderco...

I have some Benchmades and Spydercos, including some sprint runs with exotic blade alloys. But my favorite non-traditional is a Buck Vantage Pro in S30V. Perfect blade shape, Paul Bos heat treated S30V, built like a Sherman tank, deep carry clip, solid lockup. The Bos heat treated S30V outperforms my other S30V blades from other makers.

I am a traditionalist by heart, but I really like the
spyderco centofante memory. When I have the
ability, will be getting one.

There is also a modern traditional thread some where in here where there is trad knives with thumstuds and pock clips, and modern knives clad in good ol traditional materials.

Here are a few (I only have a few!) of my moderns.

Kershaw Tremor (big workhorse, worked well on deer last year)

CRKT Hammond Desert Cruiser (most ergonomic knife I've ever handled, stays in the car's center console)

Spyderco Farid K2 (bought for the 10V steel, but it's just a little big for me to bond with)

I picked up this Buck 110 Custom from this year that bridges modern and traditional to some extent. Locsa anniversary knife S30V steel, G10 handles with a belt clip and thumb stud. Closest I have to a non-traditional.

That's a handsome knife. I'm really liking some of the new knives blending traditional and modern elements.

I hardly ever CARRY traditionals. I have a fair collection of them that I really like using when I can't take one of my modern folders with me, and I very much enjoy marveling at the craftmanship and the function of them, but I'm barely able to leave the house without these 2 (except when crossing state lines for the Bali of course :p ). They are my literal EDC, except weekends. That's the best time to carry a nice traditional slipjoint for me :D

Doesn't get much farther from traditional than that I think really...

But like I said, I still love traditional knives, I just think these are more my flavor to carry every day. I'm going to throw a slippy in my pocket tomorrow though just because now ;)
