Here's mine: 18" 29oz Rajkumar Gelbu Special. Got the idea for this thread from Bawanna's first WW2 mentioned in his trainer thread.

mine was my trusty 1999 22 inch sirupate, my brother's first was the yvsa special with no yin yangs, but bound in silver; we got them at the same time after he researched " the best knife " and the yvsa had just come out, and he ordered one of the first ones from uncle bill and he ordered the siru for me. ( siru is bura, yvsa is sanu)

I kept up the habit, my brother loves aquariums now, great thread idea, because there is still something special about that first HI blade-- I have to take new pictures , apparently I deleted the bad ones from my photobucket

My first was a Lok 15" horn handled BAS, still my favorite to this day. I'll post a pic of my baby later in the day.



Sorry about the crappy picture taking skills, it doesn't even begin to do Lok's BAS justice.

My first, a CAK. Can't remember off the top of my head the size and kami, about 15 inch...and I think it was a sun with rays beaming off in 4 directions. :)

Maybe it was that 15" AK by Rajkumar (top left)? I got them about the same time but Im thinking I got the Chit first. That Siru was next. Then some Kagas Katnes. I had the bright idea I wanted to make a folder out of one of them so i bought a few extras...imagine that:D
 
16.5 in Horn Handle CAK, a true beauty and beast! My crappy photography skills can not do this blade justice~

 
It was either the 15" AK by Vim or the 16.5" KLVUK. I ordered one after the other, I can't remember which was first. But they made quick work of that tree I removed, that's for sure.

My first and still one of my favorites. Bhakta made WWII 18in 33oz. The blade shape is really cool, its stays nice and "skinny" near the cho but flares out at the belly. Its a great chopper and not a bad weapon either. The karda and chakma were really functional.

Amazing polish level and attention to detail. I think Bhakta makes the cleanest kukris out there.

I encourage anyone who doesn't already own a Bhakta piece to acquire one. His work is top notch and its what infected me with the HIKV.

G.B.-i really like Bhakta's work too. My CAK is one of the leanest, deepest cutting khuks I have. (Thanks Phillll)
 
Mine was this wicked fast Chainpuri and it's fancy rig. The ONLY FREAKIN' ONE I was gonna buy!!!! I've lied to myself several times these past few months......

A 20 inch Shop 1 sirupate, returned to HI by a fastidious collector because of a crack in the horn handle. Uncle Bill did a superglue repair and sold it to a newb from Texas as a deeply discounted blem. Used for several years to chop anything that didn't move, loaned to a certain USAF sergeant for forward air control duty in Iraq, returned really sharp. Still going strong after 15 years. I'm beginning to think the crack in the handle is, as the saying goes, "most likely to go nowhere".:cool:
