Mykel, that belt hawk is just awesome! Any idea of the weight on that? How does it chop?

The weight on this one is 1lb 4 ozs.,but with the added head length John's doing them in nowadays & micarta or G10 for scales I imagine they're closer to 24ozs.

I finally sent it off to John for a re-handling yesterday.
I was beating it through a too big log last year & broke off a chunk of the left side scale.

I have got this hawk style hatchet for a while and i wanted some info on it.
The stamp says: Creuset; Saut du Yarn
I can't read the lower part of the stamp. Even if nbody knows anything about it i still think it is a nice looking hawk. Although it isn't in tbe best condition i like it this way
