Are the sides circular? Is it for a belt or to toss in a bag?

Yes the sides are slightly egg shaped and it has a belt loop on the back, if you want to build one I can get better pictures for you.

Wish I could post pics. I made me a really nice sporran of Latigo leather and Dark green deerskin. It rides on my belt daily.

I wear this whenever hiking and I absolutely forget it is there.

Lot of cool gear in this thread! Here's a very, very old picture of a possibles bag I picked up for cheap (it's an Uncle Mikes if you can believe it)

i am going to be designing a survival-esque back quiver for a friend to be making me soon... :)

a survival-esque back quiver now that I'd like to see been trying to design something similar myself

A member on another forum had something that I wanted and so we worked out a trade for me to make him a possibles pouch to carry gear for traditional archery. It was my first leather bag so of course there was some learning involved but I'm really happy with how it turned out! All its missing is an antler button for enclosure.

Thanks ozhaggishead for the help!

Feel quite productive today, finished the bag, 2 sheaths, 2 knives, took 2 finals and had a birthday party for my daughter (she's 2)!

Ended up making 2 bags - one with chap leather (shown) and one with veg tanned (only for the closure parts, not the bag itself, that is made out of suede) but I don't know what to do with the 2nd one...

Some good looking stuff. Suggestions on where to start looking, reading and such if I wanted to try and do some projects myself?
